Photos from Sunday’s Rose Bikes British Downhill Series at Moelfre are now online to view/buy on Facebook and Roots & Rain.

Once again, the Welsh countryside was the stunning backdrop to round 5 of the Rose Bikes BDS. The track at Moelfre is open and exposed, with just a couple of trees on the entire hillside to avoid. A clear view up the hill proved for some excellent chances to test out a new lens I recently acquired – a 70-200mm telephoto (zoom).

The track at Moelfre was dry and dusty, though the wind was proving a challenge right at the very top. The dry conditions made a welcome change from the last BDS in Bala! Moelfre is one of the faster tracks on the BDS, but quite rocky, so a fair few riders were suffering from flat tyres during their runs.
