The event took place in the stunning-as-always Wales – this time it was at Rhyd Y Felin, which is around half an hour’s drive from Bala and just down the road from Revolution Bike Park.Buy Photos on Roots & Rain Facebook Preview Album
As always, the event ran very smoothly, with a wide range of conditions allowing for some challenging conditions for both the riders and at some points, the spectators too! The morning’s weather was dismal, but it thankfully cleared up for the afternoon.
As you can see below, the track was extremely muddy and very challenging – the entire hill turned to very slippery mud thanks to the morning’s rain. This proved challenging during the seeding runs, with riders crashing pretty much all over the place. Only the very best managed to stay on – such as Manon Carpenter, below. Thankfully, it dried up for the afternoon and the track dried out pretty quickly in the sun.
