This weekend saw the prestigious British Cycling National Cross Country MTB Series return for a second year at Cannock Chase, and I popped along to take some photos on the Saturday.
The race route was a little different from last year, but once again made use of the extremely technical rock garden, “The Head Banger”, on Follow the Dog. This made for some interesting watching during practise – lots and lots of crashes as people attempted it! And on the other hand, a few top notch riders making it look easier than a stroll down to the shops. 😉
Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get any shots of Sunday’s racing, as I was off to Kinsham for round 5 of the Pearce DH Series, but there was plenty of action and carnage on the Saturday to keep the spectators entertained (and the marshals busy).
